Why isn’t the default Endpoint Protector Client working on Windows XP?

Microsoft discontinued Windows XP since 2014. As it is no longer patched and maintained, we strongly recommend updating to a newer OS.

The default Endpoint Protector Client does work on Windows XP with SP3 that recognizes SHA2 driver signatures.

For older Windows XP versions (SP1, SP2, no SHA2 signed driver support, etc.), custom Endpoint Protector Clients could be available by contacting Support. However, this offers limited functionality and could also be restricted to Device Control only, omitting File Tracing. Here are some of the features that are incompatible with Windows XP: granular Bluetooth control, Optical Character Recognition, clipboard monitoring, Deep Packet Inspection, User Remediation etc.
